Press ReleasesSpring 2004 Stainless Steel hardware now standard on all Trystan Benches and Litterunits. Combined with the IPE slats and galvanizing prior to painting of all steel products and Tree Grates, we provide the lowest maintenance, longest lasting products in the industry.
September 2003 Trystan has updated it's website.
August 2003 To help in the fight against specific vandalism, Trystan has manufactured for the City of New Hamburg, Ontario, Anti grind devices. Skate boarders know what I mean. This Bronze button hangs over the front slat on the bench stopping the skaters from riding the slat. This particular design was picked up from stain glass windows located in some of the downtown businesses.
June 2003 To help our customers in the fight against vandalism, Trystan has changed it's standard wood from Western Red Cedar to Ipe. Ipe weathers the same as cedar (ie. it resists breaking down even if unprotected it will only silver, just look at all the barns made from untreated cedar that have lasted decades) but is incredibly tough. It will stand up to abuse as well as any and better than oak, maple, or ash. Give us a call and we would be happy to send you a sample.
