Bell Bollards These bollards protect buildings and pedestrians by deflecting traffic back onto the road where they belong. If the vehicle wanders onto the bollard they would climb up until the increasing slope of the bollard and the vehicles own weight would slide them back onto the road. The idea was so revolutionary the developer copyrighted the design. Also available in a 3/4 Bell or 1/2 Bell design. Click on the image below for a movie showing how the bell bollard works.
